Thx Matthijs for the heads up. Saw this right after I read your blog post for 3.60 and made me wondering if an API would be available:-)
I will definitely support this.
Hope at some point it will also adress the additional Digital Inputs as I had to tweak Venus OS to go beyond 9 inputs....

@mpvader as I don't have access to a GX IO-Extender 150, could you provide a dbus-spy screenshot of what looks like the com.victronenergy.switch tree structure? That would help a lot!

@hussl1 your help is welcome on this project.
Venus OS is well documented, you can easily setup a raspberry PI to start with.
I just received a GX150, and will start looking at how to make RemoteGPIO to behave the same so we have a support with GUI v2. 😎
I'll also take the opportunity to make it more efficient and faster with MQTT support. Have prototyped it and it looks promising!

I'm making good progress with The Dingtian relays showing up in the new GUI.
At the same time I'm focusing on handling MQTT as the communication driver. It looks much more CPU lightweight.
This is promising.

Hello there. I have created a service which adds virtual switches to gui v2 which also appear in the switch panes. This communicates via mqtt. It is unlimited devices and switches per device (system resources and cpu available would be the limiting factors of course). I'm currently running 4 dingtian modules. I have not incorporated digital inputs but it could be done fairly easily. Take a look and your welcome to use part or all of it. Or none of it lol.

I am just finishing up on an expanded version of this that adds virtual devices such as relays, virtual battery, temp sensor, and tank sensor. It's in testing right now but I expect to make it available within a day or two. It is much better at handling mqtt messages and can also control shelly switches and plugs.
