Add tests for http / swift

Fairly self-explanatory -- the HTTP + swift code paths are not covered by our existing test set at all so it would be nice if we could at least have a simple set of tests to make sure they still work as intended (especially across multiple Debian/Ubuntu distros).

The main issue will be hosting a viable (and consistent!) target for the tests to try and download.
