Clarity for how to change settings_prefix variable in setup_path.opy

Hi,

I'm trying to set up a mgt-local instance but I'm not sure on what/how I'm meant to change the SETTINGS_PREFIX variable, especially with the "Relative path separated by dots" statement.

Is it referring to the settings_template.py file? and if for example my setupPath.py is located: /data/MGT-local/setup/species/setupPath.py and settings_template.py is /data/MGT-local/Mgt/Mgt/Mgt/settings_template.py how would I separate those with dots, especially if I need to move up a level to do so?

Hello,

Apologies for the confusion. The SETTINGS_PREFIX variable in the setupPath.py file is written as if you were importing the settings as a module in python from the "/data/MGT-local/Mgt/Mgt" folder. So for your settings file /data/MGT-local/Mgt/Mgt/Mgt/settings_template.py, the SETTINGS_PREFIX variable would be mgt.settings_template
