Some features request here, probably most of them low priority or out of scope plus we could broke this on different issues, I may PR those sometime in the future but just to keep track if someone else wants to add these:

Keyboard shortcuts

  • As an user I would like to toggle settings using a keyboard shortcuts, using certain key per toggle, defined by Octosplit, optionally customizable, example: shift + S toggles side by side view.
  • As an user I want to know Octosplit keyboard shortcuts by displaying them along with those own by Github when pressing ? key out of a text input.

Github's shortcuts

  • As an user I would like to have extras keyboard shortcuts without breaking existent ones as follows
    • Navigate through Github's tabs e.g. in Chrome I can navigate control + tab forwards, control + shift + tab backwards, and finally control + NUMBER to specific tab (e.g. control + 1 to go to first tab).
    • TBD
    • Recommendations:
      • Other shortcuts might be added.
      • Actual keys and modifiers by implementation but we could allow customization (see below).

Preferences

  • As an user I would like to configure Octosplit so it will remember my preferences if I opt in, say in example I want always to use side by side view, not having to toggle it every time.
  • As an user I would like to customize keyboard shortcuts.

Language localization

  • As a non English speaker I would like to be able to use Octosplit in my browser configured language -to be confirmed as I'm not sure if Github supports any other language other than English-.
