App is highly unresponsive to touch events

On Nexus 4, usual gestures only cause inconsistent effects on the UI. For example, approximately 3 out of every 4 swipe up gestures cause a tiny bit of change on the tag "sphere".

This is happening when only ONE tag has been added.

This is an on-boarding issue then. We need to tell people how to use the app the first time they try it.
