Async method annotations missing in introspection XML

I wanted to generate a client from the XML obtained via introspection. Unfortunately, it lacks annotations for asynchronous methods.
Is there a way to add them somehow, or would it be better to create the XML initially and treat it as the source of truth for both the server and the client?
