Purge old containers from dockerhub?

There are 10s of GB, possibly in excess of 100 GB, of old containers on Dockerhub that have not been accessed in a long time. Layer caching probably reduces the total but even so, it seems extreme. How would people feel about deleting containers that have not been pulled in, say, 1+ years? Conceivably that will break a build for someone doing archaeology down the line but I see no other drawbacks. Ping @rpavlik @KhronosWebservices as khronosgroup members on dockerhub (I would also ping Lorenzo but I do not know their github handle).

they all show as last pulled within a day, now, sadly. This is not a great user interface docker hub chose to use, if they wanted to encourage people to clean up their stuff.

Are we being billed by repo size, or is this just to be nice to Docker Hub? If the latter, let's not waste our time for now until they have a way to find the old repos that is less fragile. Especially since I can't actually see the OpenXR repos on there very easily so I wouldn't know what to delete.

I don't see them all pulled recently - try flipping the 'Last Pulled' column order. There are about 350 with no pull date at all and then it starts at "more than one year" in what I'm seeing.

But you're right that it's not a big deal at present, as far as I know. Perhaps it's a bit of OCD expressing itself.

The 350 or so are all marked Status - Stale. I would agree, removing is the best way to go. Also possibly a tad OCD on this one.
