Build out testing for plant definition

Currently the testing does not fully cover the plant definition. Decisions need to be made about how best to test the schema.

• Determine necessary testing structure (unit, regression, etc.)
• Implement tests
• Investigate code coverage solutions for schemas

We added tests for all schema in 6a96b14.... Maybe that helps?

I also think that extensive and demanding tests have been added for both the schema instances (examples) and the schemas them self.

It would be cool if that could somehow be check with coverage which for me is the only think missing to close this issue? But I am not sure that is possible, and using the restrictive schema (that is adding additionalProperties: false should hopefully do something simular?!
