Cursor misaligned

When using the client, the cursor doesn't align correctly with where the user clicks. For instance, to select the username box, the user must click far outside the box, rendering it nearly unusable.

Are you using a 4k screen?

Testing via laptop, which is just 1080p, I did attempt what you posted however it did not work for me.

Scratch that, I changed the scale from 125% to 100% and it did work. Is there a way to compile the client so as to detect the scale?

Ah okay so it's a scaling issue. Unfortunately it's not really an issue with the client but with older java versions (which the client has to use)
According to this you can use –Dsun.java2d.uiScale=1.0 to fix the problem, either by running via command line java –Dsun.java2d.uiScale=1.0 -jar client.jar or adding the flag to JAVA_OPTS in environmental variables
