Feature: movie posters Features

the main servers are plex, emby/jellyfin and kodi.
jellyfin is a fork of emby before they went closed source. i have found the most app that work with emby or jellyfin can work with the other with out too much adjustment. jellyseerr was able to work with emby with just a little url path change.
i would need jellyfin to work for my use case.

i see this being a most have for a basic setup

1. the primary image as poster this is the image for the cover in the jellyfin webui
2. rating (for the usa G PG PG13 R NR)
3. studio name
4. runtime
5. release date
6. rotten tomatoes score
7. tag line

all prettied up in a nice ui

i would also like some of these down the line to be added.

• now playing (be able to set a client to show what is play on it with a progress bar for how far along it is)
• be able to when the client's show will end.
• be able to show when client started show.
• coming soon this would show upcoming films that has yet to be released. (would have to pull info from another database)
• time slots. being able to set time for movies to be show, and then have a list of upcoming showings.
• time slot generate. be able to generate random showing base on your media.
• other adds. sonarr, radarr, readarr, kapowarr, lidarr, overserr, jellyseerr.
• other types of media. tv shows, books, music, comic books.
• transitions. have nice fx for going from one poster to another.
• ads. not real ads but one you like for yourself. i use fake concessions ads that i have made myself.
• facts. be able to display facts or trivia about movies
• cool offs. where a poster needs to have waited X amount of time to show again. i.e. 2 minutes.
• being able to sync more displays to work together. in my use case i have two displays running so i would never want the same poster on both. i also think if poster X show on display 1 then poster X should not show on display 2 and show poster Y instead. and should have a cool off time of when it can show again.
• be able to tell the multi displays to do different things. tell one display to show now showing and posters and have another display show ads and timeslots.

This is a great suggestion and on our roadmap. Currently we're finishing up the bookworm/pi5 work, and as part of that I'm working on redoing the overlay system along with the plugin system. The goal is to make development of this type of functionality as a plugin easy to do, but also to keep the plugin source open so the community can contribute to it and expand it (and update it if things break which they inevitably do when plugging into some of those systems). The overlay system today is designed with flexability in mind, we just need a way to make it more dynamic.
