sorting modules does not always work

Sometimes the drag&drop sorting of modules in a course does not save when you drop. The javascript gets called, so that is not the problem. It might have something to do with which user you are logged in as.

You need to set up error handling and some kind of user feedback when the page is saving. (Look at Trello for instance)
Deferred ajax objects in jQuery is your friend.

It also helps with debugging :)

Why not change the colour of dragged objects or animate them some way while
they're in a position where they're not saved?
Essentially just:

• Dropped object gets some sort of spinner
• Removed when response returned success - if not, add a retry timer or
  produce an error message.
