Q: how to add collaborator by login name?

It seems that to add a collaborator I need to add to add to "Contact Point" in Edit?:

I cannot just add by login.

Or may be I missed UI where to add co-maintainers?

Those contact points were meant for name/email for people who didn't necessarily have a FAIRsharing account but who may (for example) be listed on a resource website as contacts.
Multiple users with FAIRsharing accounts can be added as maintainers of a record (i.e. with the ability to edit it); each would have to make a request on the record's page.

gotcha -- so only kinda through sending a request and not for a maintainer to invite . It is just that many systems support (sometimes exclusively) the "invite" approach (github, hypothesis, zotero, ...) so my thinking was aligned that way. Feel free to close or to retitle (into adding "invite" approach)

We'd have to discuss whether we want to send invitations out and how we might go about it. This can be discussed next time we get chance for a project meeting (probably after Easter) and we can proceed based on that.
