No audio from ALC1150 on X79 Deluxe #27

Mojave 10.14.6
AppleALC v1.4.1
Lilu v1.3.8
CodecCommander v2.7.1
Lilu and AppleALC are both installed in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other
"change HDAS to HDEF" patch was applied to DSDT in config.plist.
Tried all layouts as boot args, none of them worked. Checked that layout id 1 and/or 2 show as injected in ioreg.
Native AppleHDA is left untouched.

I read CodecCommander might need an edit to work with some boards, any pointers please? :)
