Application not responding

I m running v2.27 in a virtual machine (VMWare).

Using automato for atitd.
Automato is working like a charm for a few seconds or minutes but always ends being non responsive.

Open Task Manager in the VM, go to the details tab, find Automato.exe, right click choose "Create dump file", and then send me that file (zip and email if it's under 10MB or so, or upload it here), that should provide enough information to identify where it's stuck. If the version of Windows doesn't have the "Create dumpfile" option in task manager, there should be another way to get a dump/minidump.

Hmm... not sure what might be the cause, doesn't look like anything out of the ordinary going on in the Automato code. The process is stuck in vm3dgl.dll in the call to SwapBuffers - just the normal end-of-frame processing. That sounds like that's a hardware-accelerated graphics driver for the VM, so if there's any way to update that or update your host's graphics drivers, those might help. Another thing to try would be to just use a software renderer for Automato (it doesn't do much anyway!), which would likely be more stable - I can find how to force it to use Windows' built-in software renderer (seems to be disabled if you install graphics drivers), so instead you can grab the opengl32.dll from Mesa (first link here) and drop it in the Automato folder, and that should force software rendering.
