Enable more secure and faster install of CLI #6

I like the WebUI of Convert.io, but as a paying customer I want to convert certain files quickly and easily. So I looked into adding Convert.io as a MacOS Shortcuts in my Finder and started exploring the API and CLI.

I'm fine with the the PHP dependency for the CLI, although it is a big download for a small feature. But, wget is not natively installed on MacOS anymore and flagging a download for no certificate checking seems "scary".

I don't know what the best option is for the contributors, but wondering if you would explore some options?

  • Would you consider setting up Converti.io as a Brew install? This could also handle the PHP dependency.
  • Instructions in the README for Curl instead of wget?

In the end, I would just like to have a more secure and faster install for the CLI and any efforts there would be increase my confidence that I'm not putting my local machine at risk with the CLI install.
