warning: character class has duplicated range

when run with ruby -w the following warning is printed many times:

/var/lib/gems/1.9.1/gems/rfc2047-0.3/lib/rfc2047.rb:25: warning: character class has duplicated range

although not a bug, the warnings are annoying and interfere with regular output of a program.
