Better Error Handling

On the create page - an unrecognized poll type should probably display an error 
We should also go through the code and make sure other places where we expect certain strings or data formats also display appropriate errors. 
Consider also implementing a nicer error screen than just the text "something went wrong : (", which is what is currently displayed most of the time
