Port VDM #1316
Description
Following discussion with Yoel and Amit, they would like to see VDM ported.
VDM consumes the output of the existing RIR classification with a crude alignment and returns different class members and alignments.
The MATLAB class averaging example code suggests VDM and EM are optional steps. However, the legacy workflow tool is hard coded to always engage VDM.
