Welcome to the Community Curator user manual! The goal at Community Curator is to cultivate real-world, community-driven activities and relationships, as well as create a genuine connection to the communities we inhabit. Our team appreciates and thanks you for your business and support, and cannot wait to assist you!

Problem

The COVID-19 virus brought to light a great deal of issues facing modern societies. Loneliness, isolation, and alienation are just a handful of the problems we find ourselves and our communities confronted with. The modern age of social networking and internet relationships continues to fuel a disconnect between individuals and their communities. These issues do not have isolated effects; with a decrease in the number of meaningful friendships, a decrease in life satisfaction follows (Cox). Furthermore, an increase in people relocating has increased alienation within communities (Carrigan). People and communities are being left behind; this is unacceptable! Despite our growing use of the internet, a tool does not yet exist to act as an effective resource in finding and maintaining vital community connections. Community Curator seeks to remedy this.

Solution

Community Curator is the solution to fix this growing divide between individuals and their communities. Our software solution removes many of the repetitive steps that are involved in joining a group and maintaining a connection to that group. We do this by presenting you with a centralized hub to join and create groups, find relevant and nearby events, and get involved in the community!

In this User Guide, we seek to be clear and concise in order to grant you the ability to get started with our product as soon as possible. If you are seeking to create and use an account, this guide will demonstrate how to create an account, log in and log out, add and remove groups & interests, view events, and view your own, personal page!

This guide will also help you if you are seeking information pertaining specifically to viewing groups, group management, and group postings.

Finally, this guide will aid you in utilizing Community Curator to find events going on near you.

We again welcome you to Community Curator!
