UsageStats giving wrong time for app.

We checked for a newly installed app, "getTotalTimeInForeground" giving about 65 minutes while we used that app only about 10 minute,
How much getTotalTimeInForeground is reliable ?

I am experiencing the same issues using "getTotalTimeInForeground".
Does there exists another more reliable way doing this?
