you're completely right that there's not necessarily an option to save to a file (and that this might be a problem as this really should be considered an essential feature). The reason I have not added this to the app yet is because there is an app called Save Locally. It adds an option for saving to local storage in the share menu. So I never personally needed to add a direct way to save to storage. Really, I think this share menu option should be a built-in on Android, but it sadly isn't. So, maybe I should add such option to ScanBridge. I've now created an issue for this (#103).
Edit: With v1.6.1 this feature was added!
