Clear Cache Fails Sometimes

While attempting to cause a mesh failure with modifier changes, I ran into this:

I started by adding a Subsurf and Simple Deform modifier. Contoured and canceled. Then applied the modifiers. Contoured and canceled. Then undid the modifier application and tried to contour, at which point the cache failed, giving the same error as above. Upon trying to clear the cache is gave the error again.

From then on I could not contour anything until I restarted Blender, or else it'd just throw the error above.

As a followup, I should say that I have not yet found a time where I needed to clear the cache. I also cannot replicate the above error consistently.

Any thoughts on how to consistently break the cache so that it needs cleared? I'd like to demo it for V1.

Short story is if you modify your original form in any way that a reasonable person might not notice. If the dimensions change, the number of verts, edges or faces changes....the addon will clear the cache for you (or should....but it may not as you see in the video).

Currently it's supposed to check for the name, nverts, nedges, nfaces, bounding box size etc. So if your changes affect one of those things, it will auto clear. The manual clear is for if you start cutting your object and the contours don't look like your object.
