[Feature Request] An option to prevent map updating after every action

Map updates can take a lot of time on bigger maps. Generating data(like generating biomes) takes a few seconds, but it can take a few minutes(at least on my machine) to refresh the map visuals, It would be nice to have the map to not automatically update and rather have a button to refresh the map. It would speed up map creation greatly.
