VPN Proxy Extensions Not Working

I tried installing a few VPN proxy extensions for Firefox, they install correctly but they don't actually work. For example the FastestVPN proxy extension shows it's connected, but when I check the IP it still shows my real IP rather than the VPN proxy server's IP.
