Discussion of initial steps and goals #1
Description
The goal of this module is to have an easy way to submit HTCondor jobs to our cluster (DICE). Some initial work has been done in https://github.com/BristolTopGroup/DailyPythonScripts, https://github.com/BristolTopGroup/AnalysisSoftware and https://github.com/BristolTopGroup/NTupleTools as well as https://github.com/BristolComputing/condor-comforter.
It would make sense to put all these efforts under the same roof and make them available to our group.
First would be DPS (BristolTopGroup/DailyPythonScripts#279), followed by examples for CMSSW.
An alternative would be to use Ganga (http://ganga.web.cern.ch/ganga/) which is used by LHCb and ATLAS mostly. Although it has a CMSSW plugin (https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/Main/CMSUniandesGroupGangaCMS) it is a bit outdated.
If you have other suggestions or ideas, please let me know.
