VPN permission dialog not showing

First of all, thanks for the project — really appreciate the work you’re doing
I wanted to report an issue I’m facing on my device
Device info
Device: Samsung Galaxy A11
Android version: Android 12
App source: Installed from GitHub, universal version and armeabi_v7a version (latest available version)
Issue description
When I press Connect in the app, the Android system dialog
“Allow VPN connection?” never appears.
Because of this:
The VPN never starts
No VPN icon appears in the status bar
The app seems blocked from creating a VPN tunnel
What I tried
Removing all existing VPNs from system settings
Reinstalling the app multiple times
Allowing background activity and disabling battery optimization
Resetting network settings
Unfortunately, none of these made the permission dialog appear.
Possible cause
It seems that on Samsung Galaxy A11 with Android 12, the system may block VPN permission requests for some app-based VPNs, especially if the initial permission request fails or is suppressed by the system.
Other VPN apps like v2rayNG work correctly on the same device and do show the permission dialog.

I just wanted to report this in case it helps with compatibility or debugging.
If there’s any workaround, specific version, or debug step I can try, I’d be happy to test it.
