SIF XML payload is not recognized by the XStudent Post EndPoint

Hi,

We are making use of sif3-framework-dotnet and trying to build the Provider for different SIF objects.

So we tried to post the XML payload of XStudent object through postman/fiddler to sif3-framework-dotnet XStudent Post EndPoint (EP) and tried to debug the EP the input XStudent parameter is showing null instead serialized json.

Pl. find the same in attached screenshot and let us know if you have any resolution.

Just to check, have you overcome the issue since it was posted?

Assuming you haven’t, I think we’d need some more information to be able to debug this. You mention XML, and also JSON. Which are you sending? Could you give us an example payload? Does the payload validate against the schema?

We are using the xStudents xml payload provided in the following SIF official website

So you realize that xStudents.txt is a collection of xStudent objects, not a single one, right? From the look of things, your code it isn't getting the root element it is expecting. I would start with checking that.

We tried with single xStudent object payload XStudentSamplePayload.txt, but still facing same issue.

So now we get to Jon's key question, is XML Schema validation happening before we get to this code? Because if it is, here are all the things with your payload that don't conform and could (I am no .Net expert) cause the object to not be created.

@drjonnicholson, We are using SIF 3.4 US version SIF objects and Sif3UsDemoApp.
The payload is not getting validated against schema.

@satishkumar-t, try sending a valid payload. Add some data to the structure you have. I suggest providing only mandatory pieces of information to minimise your test case.
