Related to heavier duty equipment, was clarified by SJ that drilling floor to bolt into floor isn't an issue

48" vs. 60" vs. 72" (rail shelving)

48" leaves a lot more space for accessing from back, but not so much if trying to have an external monitor and keyboard/mouse combo. I guess a way to get around that would be to have a mounted flat monitor and use a keyboard/mouse rollout drawer.

EDIT: this could also be facing towards the back rather than along the long edges. I.e., someone can use it without needing to have that aisle open. This would help a lot I think.
